Shi & Bo

I'm finally getting to share one of my favorite memories from last year. The Denton girls have been my family for as long as I can remember. Charidy was my best friend growing up, and she still knows more about me than probably anyone else on the planet. We are very different to be sure, but we both cried at the passing of Alan Rickman, and we both smile a knowing smile when we hear "Bye, Bye, Bye" by *NSYNC. It's a special thing when someone knows you like that, and loves you in spite of the craziness they have seen.

She had a little girl four year ago, a little girl that stole my heart, and made Char the incredible mother she is today.

I got to hang out with Shi around her 4th birthday, which just so happened to be around her cousin Bodhi's first birthday as well. You might remember baby bean from some previous posts. I had the honor of photographing his mom, Tam, (Charidy's younger sister, but you may as well call her my younger sister too. Cause I do.) while she was pregnant with him. This was the first time I got to meet him in person. He is as sweet and cute as you can imagine. And seeing Tam as a mom and Jake as a dad make my heart oh so happy. I had such an amazing weekend spending time with this special family, and I can't wait to do it again.

Charidy, Greg, Tam, Jake, Faith, John, Mary, Shi, Bo  - you guys have my heart. I love you all to pieces and I hope you always know that.
