I love photographing people. I shoot a lot of weddings and families, but even then my favorite time is when I get to take individual portraits of the people involved. That one-on-one time is essential, and it's part of why I do what I do.
I love getting to know you, getting to capture your personality. The biggest compliment I get is when people say "You really captured her true spirit." Or "Wow that is SO him."
Photographing Leslie was no exception. A talented artist herself, I was a little nervous, wanting to make sure I could capture her "true spirit" while remembering good composition and lighting and all those technical snafus that can take us photographers years to really master.
I'm so happy with the way these turned out though. Leslie has a smile that is contagious, and I'm glad I got to capture it, and laugh with her.
