In honor of all things fall, I'm sharing some of my favorite snapshots from Angela and Ricky's 2022 rainy outdoor backyard wedding in Foley, AL. I had the pleasure of photographing Angela and Ricky (plus their three sweet girls) for their Blakeley State Park Engagement Session, and I was so happy to reunite with them for the big day.
Angela and Ricky kept things lowkey with an intimate outdoor ceremony hosted in a friend's backyard. Some clouds began to roll in as the wedding prep was underway, but you know what they say about rain being good luck on your wedding day! Angela wasn't afraid to dance in the rain, and it was so fun to take some bridal portraits with my trusty umbrella (#ProTip I always keep clear umbrellas in my car - you never know when they might come in handy!). I love when brides let loose and go with the flow, and Angela handled all the hiccups with grace.
One of the sweetest parts of Angela and Ricky's special day was seeing how they incorporated their three girls into the wedding. They got to have first looks with both Angela and Ricky, and it was so cute watching the girls' eyes light up when they saw how beautiful and handsome their parents looked. I loved capturing all the sweet moments shared between the family of five—cue the happy tears!
Of course, one of the coolest additions to Angela and Ricky's wedding was a bouncy house. Even with all the weddings I've photographed over the years, that was a first for me! Not only did it keep the kids entertained, but Angela and Ricky also took a turn bouncing around at the end of the night, which had all of us giggling.
