I hope you all had an amazing holiday surrounded by loved ones! My Christmas looked a bit different than expected since my parents and I tested positive for Covid, but we made the most of it, and honestly it felt kind of nice to just spend it with them, cuddled under the blankets watching our favorite Christmas movies. (And of course thankful that this year's strain is not nearly as bad as it was last time we had it - at least not for us - and praying we all continue to fight this monster and get it outta here 😅❤️).
As we look ahead to the new year, I want to share some of my exciting goals and plans for 2023. (Plus, keep reading to find out how you can win a free Valentine's Day session with me...)
Plan a wedding and get married - that's right, I'm engaged! On December 18 my boyfriend and best friend, Jonathan, proposed at the stunning Bellingrath Gardens. I knew he was planning to propose but I didn't know when, and he kept me on the edge of my seat for months (101 days, to be exact - but who's counting). Huge thank you to the The Miller's Photo Co. for hiding in the cold to capture this moment for us. I'm so over the moon to be engaged to the love of my life and cannot wait to get married and start this next chapter of our lives together. Cue all the wedding planning chaos and excitement!
Expand my services to Chattanooga, TN - I've been super blessed to work with a ton of folks here in Alabama, and I'm so excited to be expanding my services to the Chattanooga area! I'll still be traveling back and forth between Alabama and Tennessee, but I'm really looking forwarding to photographing more sessions in and around Chattanooga, which is one of my favorite cities in the Southeast.

Release a digital course - releasing a digital course has been a goal of mine for the last year or so, and I'm planning to make it a reality in 2023. My hope with this digital course is to create a helpful resource that aspiring photographers can learn from and refer to over and over again! I wish I had a course like this to help me when I first launched my photography business, and I want to pass along some of the knowledge I've gained over the years through a lot of trial and error. Do more of what I love - some days, I still have a hard time believing this is what I do for a living. I love photographing the special moments in people's lives and helping them create new, cherished memories, and one of my 2023 goals is to keep building my business so I can work with more of you! I am so thankful for all the support I've received over the years and I'm really looking forward to all the sessions that 2023 will bring.
