As many couples have found out over the last couple of years, planning a wedding in Covid times is no joke, and Tyler and Shelbie are a true testament to that. After spending months and months planning their wedding day to include all of their family and friends, the big day unfortunately had to be postponed due to Covid. Then, Tyler and Shelbie had to make the tough choice to cut their wedding down to just close family in attendance. While the wedding may not have been what they initially envisioned, the event turned out to be absolutely perfect, in the most sweet and intimate way.
The ceremony took place at the gorgeous Sacred Heart Chapel, one of my favorite little chapels on Mobile Bay, followed by a reception at the always lovely Belforest Pointe. Shelbie made a stunning bride in her Bliss Bridal dress, and her makeup artist, Chasen Lipscomb, and hairstylist, Mary Kathryn McKenzie from Blonde & Blush Beauty Studio, did a fantastic job highlighting her natural beauty. McKenzie Street Florist & Specialty Rental provided the beautiful florals, and Publix seriously nailed the cake.
Even though big parties and celebrations can be fun, I have a real soft spot in my heart for smaller weddings that feel like family get-togethers. Tyler and Shelbie's wedding came together beautifully, and I'm so excited to be sharing some of my favorite moments from their day. Enjoy!
